Founded in 1972, APEL has grown consistently year over year by serving markets in Western Canada and the US West Coast. In order to keep pace with market growth and customers’ ever-changing requirements, APEL completed major expansions and capability enhancements in 2001 and again in 2008.

In 2010, APEL acquired the West Coast assets of Postle Aluminum in Springfield Oregon, and now serves the Western US from this location. In January 2012, APEL installed its third UBE press – with this installation, APEL owns one of the most modern fleets of extrusion presses in North America.
